I once had a friend. Jakob was his name and he was my first real friend.  We were both 12 years old when we became acquainted with each other in a sailing club.  And we were 14 years old that evening when I blew a bomb, which damaged his leg.

 

I have not spoken to him since that evening almost 25 years ago.

 

Now I want to find him again, searching among other things for an answer as to why our parents forbade us to meet.
